Newcastle City Council have a fee of $94 to place a skip bin on the Council Strip in front of your home. Newcastle Skip Hire will prepare and submit the documentation for you, however the fee is additional to the bin charge. It is important to understand that placing a bin on the council strip is going to create a delay in delivery while we wait for the permit.

If you can locate the bin on your property then no fee applies.

Here is how it works:

• We receive the order;
• We fill in the permit for you;
• We present the permit to Council We pay the fee on your behalf;
• We get the approval and deliver the bin - approval normally takes 3 working days.

When placing a bin on the street in front of parking meters an additional Council fee of BETWEEN $50 and $120 per day depending on location, plus the $92 council fee.
